Last Night...

Last night, Tim was checking on the kids.  Suddenly, "Doris!" he bawled, "yougottaseethis, yougottaseethis!"  I walked upstairs to see my husband propping himself up in the bathroom doorway to keep from falling over laughing.  What was so funny?  All he could do was gesture at Evie's room.  Then I saw it.


The child had taken off her pajamas, they were on the floor.  And then she put on her tennis shoes.  And fell asleep, cuddled with her blanket and beanie baby tiger.

I didn't even have the strength to prop myself up.  I barely made it to my room before I just fell on the bed, laughing so hard I was wiping tears from my eyes.
