Isaac's 3.5 month update

Isaac had his 4 month check-up this past week and I am happy to report that our little buddy weighs 13 lbs., 5 oz. and is 24 inches long.  He remains in the 25th percentile in all his growth charts, and is hitting all his marks in development and maturity.  What a big boy!

He can hold his big head up for almost 10 minutes, provided you have something extra interesting for him to want to look at that long.  Below, he is watching a PBS show with Evie.  Yes, we are starting him on TV early.  It is unintentional, but also a bit unavoidable when you already allow limited TV viewing for the first kid.  In this pic, you can also kinda' see his flat head in the back.

His head is so flat.  The pediatrician said this would be the worst we would see it, but it will start to grow out from this point on.  I have tried everything to help him out--sleeping on his side, turning his head, etc-- but nothing works.  This kid LOVES to sleep on his back with his face up and his arms out.  It's amazing to see how long he has grown.

The other day, I was trying to put a shirt on him that he had worn for the first time last week.  It turned out to be so tight it looked like a muscle shirt on him.

He is also learning how to drive my car.  Here is Isaac on Easter Sunday.  I had just finished nursing him and put him on the driver's side while I got ready to change his diaper.

Here, he is smiling because he has a special surprise for Mommy.  He knew how excited I would be when I discovered that his poop had exploded up his back, almost to his shoulders.  Happy Easter, Mommy!
